Maira Ramirez, PA-C, grew up in Claxton, GA. She is a first-generation college graduate and first in her family to join the military. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2020 from Georgia Southern University. During her time at GSU she studied biology abroad in Ecuador. She graduated with her Master of Physician Assistant studies from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in July 2023 in which she held the Diversity Chair position for her class. Prior to completing her Master’s degree, Maira worked in dialysis as a patient care technician and volunteered in a low-income health clinic as a nursing assistant. She is a Marine Corps Veteran and enjoys the mountains, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family and four dogs.
